What size bag does my coffee come in?

All of our espresso blends and single origin espresso coffees can be shipped in 250g (9oz) or 1kg one-way valve bags. Our single origin filter coffee are only available in 250g (9oz) one-way valve bags.


What delivery services does Dukes offer?

We offer shipping Australia-wide via Australia Post and DHL Express. We ship internationally via via tracked International Parcel Post and International Merchant Express. See our Delivery page for more information.


When will my order ship?

Standard orders received prior to 12pm AEST will be shipped the same business day.


I’m not 100% happy with my order. What return options are available?

We will provide a full refund for equipment if it is returned to us unused and in its original packaging. Unfortunately we cannot accept returns for coffee orders, since it is a fresh and perishable product. We cannot guarantee that orders will be redirected if the incorrect shipping address has been provided. Please contact us for more information.


What is ‘fresh roasted’ coffee and how long will my coffee last for?

By fresh roasted, we mean that the coffee we send you is sent within 48 hours of being roasted. By the time the coffee arrives at your doorstep, say 3-5 days after roasting, it is still fresh, rested and ready to use. We find that well roasted and well-stored coffee is at its best between 5 days and 1 month after roasting.


How should I store my coffee?

We recommend storing whole bean coffee in its original bag, tied down with the attached tin-tie to form an airtight pocket. Alternatively, try out Japanese made coffee canister. Store the coffee in a cool dry place (a cupboard works perfectly) and most definitely not in the fridge or freezer!


Can I order my coffee pre-ground?

While we will always suggest grinding your coffee immediately before brewing for the best possible cup, we recognise that this is not always possible. If you would like your coffee ground, simply select your grind preference on the product page. We will be more than happy to oblige and can ground your coffee for any device from espresso machine to Aeropress.


Recurring Subscriptions (Dukebox)


What is Dukebox?

Dukebox is our customisable, recurring coffee subscription. You can choose how much coffee, your frequency of delivery, which coffee you’d prefer and if you’d like your coffee ground. On each order renewal date, we automatically send you a fresh batch of your favourite coffee via overnight express.

Furthermore, one tree will be planted for every delivery as part of our WeForest partnership.


How do I join?

Great coffee for home has never been easier. Simply visit our Dukebox page and input your desired quantity, frequency and coffee. We’ll do the rest!


When will my first order arrive?

Your first order will be despatched within 48 hours of your Dukebox setup confirmation. If you would like to specify a specific start date, please let us know in the notes at checkout. If you would like to adjust your next delivery date visit the your account page.


How do I make changes to my Dukebox settings?

You can adjust your Dukebox details from your account page. Here, you are able to suspend, cancel, change payment options, skip your next delivery, renew your next delivery early or specify an exact next shipping date. You are also able to adjust the delivery frequency and subscription quantity. If you wish to change the coffee, the easiest way is to cancel your current Dukebox and set up a new one. Alternatively, you can contact Dukes at info@dukescoffee.com.au or on (03) 9417 5578 and we would be happy to adjust your settings accordingly.


WeForest


Who is WeForest?

WeForest is an international non-profit association founded with the mission to create and promote a pioneer movement in large scale sustainable reforestation. In 2016 Dukes partnered with WeForest and have since planted over 30,000 trees in Seret, Ethiopia. Why is planting trees important?

While reducing carbon emissions is critical, research suggests that even if carbon dioxide emissions came to a sudden halt, the carbon dioxide already in the Earth’s atmosphere could continue to warm our planet for hundreds of years. The global efforts are not going to be sufficient to keep global warming and its dramatic effects – such as spread of infectious diseases like dengue fever, more frequent and stronger floods and droughts – under control. Global emissions must peak at the latest by 2020 and the excess carbon dioxide must be removed from the atmosphere as soon as possible.

A simple solution exists that will buy us time until a low carbon economy is available everywhere. According to a study by the University of Oxford, healthy and growing forests remain the best technology for removing excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reverse global warming.


How can I plant trees through Dukes Coffee?

By purchasing Dukes Coffee you are automatically contributing to our annual donation to WeForest. Furthermore we have set up two initiatives where you can directly plant trees via Dukes:

Dukebox: the Dukes recurring coffee subscription where one tree will be planted for every delivery.

Plant a tree at checkout: you have the option to plant trees at checkout for $1.50 per tree. All donations will go directly to WeForest.
